The SLA clock counts hours the way you bill them
A four-hour SLA signed on a Friday at 4 p.m. does not expire that Friday at 8 p.m. The OKTO PSA counter follows each client's real business calendar, stops when the ball is in the client's court, and starts again when it comes back to yours.
- Business hour calendars per client
- First response and resolution tracked separately
- Automatic pause while waiting on the client
- Eastern Time and Quebec statutory holidays
The client's business hours
Mon–Fri, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. · Eastern Time · Quebec statutory holidays
The clock stopped for 4 h 12 while waiting on the client's answer.
Quotes, invoices and taxes
GST and QST are calculated by the product, not by you
Quebec taxes are not a "custom tax" field you configure yourself: they are calculated line by line, with your tax numbers and per-client exemptions. The quote goes out with a link the client opens without an account, accepts, and it becomes an order and then an invoice.
- GST and QST calculated line by line
- Public view of the quote, accepted online
- Recurring billing for your monthly plans
- Stripe for collection, QuickBooks reconciliation

CRM and contracts
One client, several sites, several contacts - the real shape of an MSP
Your client is not a line in an address book: it is a company, with sites, contacts per site, assets per site and a contract running. The OKTO PSA data model is built on that, not adapted to it afterwards.
- Client → site → contact hierarchy
- Prepaid blocks of hours that draw themselves down
- Asset inventory attached to the site
- Opportunities and pipeline for the next contracts

Your clients serve themselves, and stop calling you for it
Opening a ticket, following its progress, checking the prepaid block balance, paying an invoice, booking a visit: your client does all of it alone, in a portal in French, signed in with their Microsoft or Google account.

Roles and permissions
76
distinct permissions. The intern does not see the margin, the accountant does not reassign tickets.
Contracts and prepaid time
Blocks of hours draw down as time is entered.
Client portal
Tickets, invoices, Stripe payment, appointment booking, sign-in with Entra ID or Google.
Projects and milestones
The engagements that outlast a ticket: phases, milestones, time attached and billing at the milestone.
Timesheets
Time is entered on the ticket and on the project. The sheet fills itself in, billable or not.
Assets
The inventory of what you manage at the client, attached to the right site and linked to the tickets.
What has not shipped yet, we would rather tell you right away
Reports, custom fields, multi-currency and a mobile app are in draft: do not build your rollout on them. There is no knowledge base yet, no attachments, no SAML sign-in, no webhooks and no self-serve CSV import. That is why the migration is done by us, at a fixed fee.

Your data stays in Quebec. And in its own database.
Every client has its own database. Not a schema inside a shared database, not a "tenant_id" column: a database of its own. No malformed query, no forgotten filter and no misconfigured access can leak your records to the neighbour, because they are not in the same container.
For a Law 25 compliance exercise, that is the difference between a technical explanation and a structural guarantee. And for Law 96, the interface is in French by default, not translated after the fact, not as an option.
The usual model
A shared database
Your records sit next to everyone else's. The separation depends on the code.
At OKTO
One database per client
Separate containers. The separation does not depend on the code.
Dedicated container
Your instance and your database run in their own container, on a shared host in Quebec. That is the default mode.
Dedicated virtual machine
Your instance alone on its own VM. For clients whose internal policy requires it.
Your data stays exportable
A full export of your data on request, at any time. You are never held hostage by the product.

Comparison
No Quebec PSA existed. That is the problem we are fixing.
The platforms sold here are built and hosted in the United States, in English, at a markedly higher price per technician. Here are the gaps we can back up.
| Criterion | OKTOPSA | The US PSAs |
|---|---|---|
| Where your data livesThe actual hosting location of the database. | In Quebec, in an instance dedicated to your company. | In the United States. |
| Product languageThe interface your technicians use every day. | Native French. 121 screens in French and in English, at parity. | English. |
| How the price is builtWhat drives the invoice up when you hire. | By tier of users. One price for the company, not per seat. | Per technician, 130 $ to 215 $ CAD per month. Every hire costs. |
| Seat minimum | None. The tier covers the whole team. | 5 users. |
| Billing currency | Canadian dollars, no conversion. | Varies by vendor. (unverified information) |
Cells marked "to be verified" are not documented yet. We would rather leave a cell empty than invent a number.
Pricing

The questions we get asked
Including the ones that do not flatter our pitch.
Your question is not here?
Write to us. Someone in Trois-Rivières answers, not a chatbot, and the answer comes in less than one business day.
Ask your questionIn Quebec, in an instance dedicated to your company, with its own database. No data is shared with another client, and nothing passes through a US host. That is the heart of the Law 25 argument: you know where your information is and who has access to it.
Yes, and not French translated in a hurry. All 121 screens exist in French and in English, at parity. French is the default language. Your technicians and your clients never have to switch to English to understand a screen.
GST and QST are calculated by the product, on the invoice line, with your tax numbers and per-client exemptions. It is not a "custom tax" field you configure yourself.
No minimum. The price goes by tier of users, not per seat: up to ten users, it is 300 $ per month for the whole company, whether you are three or ten. The US platforms, for their part, often ask for five seats before they will sell you anything.
We talk. You describe your fleet, your clients, your billing; we tell you straight whether OKTO PSA does the job for you, what the migration involves, and what it costs. No strings attached.
We do. We pull out your clients, your tickets, your billing history and your contracts, and load them into your instance. The fee is fixed and quoted in advance: we look at the volume and the shape of your data, then we give you a firm price before you commit to anything.
We would rather say it up front. Reporting today is limited to a fixed dashboard and five CSV exports: a real report builder will come later. Custom fields, multi-currency and a dedicated mobile app are in draft. There is no knowledge base yet, no attachments, no SAML sign-in, no webhooks and no self-serve CSV import.
Your instance is yours and your data is exportable. Three delivery modes exist: a dedicated container on our host, a dedicated virtual machine, or installation at your place, on a framed request. That last option exists precisely for this question.
See it running on your own business.
We look at your fleet, your clients and your billing, then we tell you straight whether OKTO PSA does the job for you. No strings attached.
