An Autotask PSA alternative in French, with a published price

OKTO PSA is an Autotask PSA alternative built for Quebec MSPs. The PSA software is French by default, hosted in Quebec in a database dedicated to each customer, and its price is published: $300 to $700 CAD a month depending on the user tier, CRM and HR included.

Autotask PSA, sold by Datto, does not show its price: the product page offers to request it (read in October 2026). It does advertise more than 170 integrations and a close tie with Datto RMM. Depending on your situation, that matters a great deal or not at all.

Autotask PSA or OKTO PSA: which one fits an MSP under 30 people?

It depends on what you already have. An MSP that runs Datto for its RMM does not look at Autotask the way an MSP starting from a mailbox and a spreadsheet does. The table sticks to the Autotask PSA page on datto.com, read in October 2026, and to what our own website states.

One note before you read on: we did not have Autotask in our hands for this comparison. We report what its vendor publishes, without commenting on the quality of the product.

Why choose PSA software in French in Quebec?

Because the language of the software ends up being the language of your invoices, your emails and the questions your clients ask you. Our page on PSA software in Quebec covers the topic in full; here is what matters if you are coming from Autotask.

Written in French first

The interface, the documents and support exist in French because the product was written in that language. Every screen has its English equivalent, at parity, for bilingual teams.

Your clients read French

Quotes, invoices, receipts, emails and the client portal come out in French, using your templates.

Law 96 and Law 25 from day one

French by default, hosting in Quebec, one database per customer. Traffic goes through Cloudflare’s protection network, and a backup copy is kept off site, in Canada. The data processing page spells out who touches what.

SLAs that follow your hours

First-response and resolution targets are calculated on each client’s calendar: its opening hours, its time zone and Quebec statutory holidays.

The invoice with the right taxes

GST and QST are computed by the product, line by line, with exemptions per client. Invoices and payments then sync to QuickBooks.

Someone who answers from here

Support is given in French, Monday to Friday, during Eastern business hours. Target availability is 99.5% per month; the service commitment details response times and credits.

When is Autotask the better choice?

Autotask does things we do not. If you recognize yourself in one of the cases below, keep it or pick it.

You already run Datto

Autotask PSA and Datto RMM are presented as a unified experience, inside a platform called IT Complete. If your RMM and your workflows already live there, swapping only the PSA software would cost you that link.

You depend on many integrations

Datto advertises more than 170 integrations. Ours is a list of seven: QuickBooks, Stripe, OKTO RMM, NinjaOne, Tactical RMM, Microsoft Entra ID and Google Workspace. If your tool is not on it, say so before you sign.

You need an API

The Autotask page speaks of an open architecture and APIs. OKTO PSA has no public API, no webhooks, no SAML. For an MSP that automates through scripts, that settles the question.

You invoice in several currencies

OKTO PSA invoices in Canadian dollars only: multi-currency is not shipped. Our published grid also stops at 30 users, with custom pricing beyond. A larger MSP, or one with operations outside Canada, should factor that in.

How does a migration from Autotask work?

In three steps, and we do them. The fee is fixed: we set it after looking at your data and quote it before any commitment. Autotask stays in service until the last day.

  1. 01

    We read your export

You send us an export from Autotask. We tell you straight what carries over well, what carries over badly and what is better left behind.

  2. 02

    We build the instance alongside

Your team keeps working in Autotask. Meanwhile, you validate your clients, contracts and tickets in OKTO PSA.

  3. 03

    You pick the date

We carry over the last day’s data and the following week starts in OKTO PSA. We stay on the line for the first weeks.

What comes across: clients, sites and contacts, tickets and their history, billing history, contracts and remaining prepaid hours, assets attached to sites, SLA calendars. It is all explained on the migration page, including what happens when part of the data lives in Excel.

If you are weighing several vendors, the ConnectWise comparison and the HaloPSA comparison follow the same method. And the interactive demo shows the product on screen.
